The Amalfi Coast (Italian: Costiera Amalfitana), is a stunning stretch of coastline along the Sorrentine Peninsula in Italy. The Amalfi Coast is a major tourist destination in Italy. The towns Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Furore, Maiori, Praiano, Minori, Conca Dei Marini, Scala, Cetara, Vietri Sul Mare, Tramonti and Atrani are spreading across this incredible coast in the Campania Region.
In 1997, UNESCO has included the Amalfi Coast in its List of World Heritage Sites, because it is an example of the Mediterranean landscape of great cultural and scenic value resulting from its topography and historical evolution.
The Amalfi Coast draws over 5 million visitors each year.
