Steph Curry, Klay Thompson get splashy in Warriors’ win over T-Wolves



SAN FRANCISCO—  The Splash Brothers are looking like themselves again.

Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Klay Thompson had 23 to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 124-111 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night at Chase Center.

Curry hit 10 of 20 shots including 6 of 10 from the three-point arc, where he’d been struggling. Thompson made 9 of 16 shots including 5 of 9 from three. The Warriors made 21 of 36 shots from deep (58.3 percent).

Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole each added 19 points, the former celebrating the surprising news that he will start in the All Star Game next month in Cleveland, Wiggins, whose season began with a congtroversy over his desire to remain unvaccinated, was voted into the starting lineup along with Curry by fans.

“I’m thankful,” Wiggins said. “I put in a lot of work and I found a home here.”

The Warriors (36-13) have won five of six games on a homestand that closes Saturday night against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Timberwolves fell to 24-24 on the season despite 31 points and 13 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns.
