The Deep House

Deep below the surface of a seemingly tranquil remote lake lies a perfectly preserved family home. When a young influencer couple sets out to explore the submerged house to capture uncharted content for their social media followers, their dive turns into a nightmare as they discover a sinister presence. With limited oxygen supply and time running against them, the couple must find a way to escape the underwater house of horrors before it’s too late.

  1. it would have been cool if it had ended with a scene showing their van sitting at the bottom of the lake, kind of like that car they saw there when they first submerged

  2. Trash, the concept IMO was weird and left way more questions than answers and it took 50mins to get mildly scary if that. No creepy music build up or intense jump scares. Probably the worst movie I have seen this year.

  3. Anyone else bothered by the fact divers can’t speak with a mouthful of plastic and rubber? It bothered me the whole movie that the creators didn’t google that, or ya know, listen to any of their dive team on the movie. Divers use hand signals…

  5. RE TECHNICAL ISSUE: I RENTED THE SD VERSION AND THE IMAGERY WAS GREAT.

I’m now convinced that a lot of negative movie reviews are driven by viewers disliking the way the plot worked out. To them, if the plot twists weren't what they wanted, it’s a bad movie. That does not make it a bad movie. I almost made the mistake of allowing bad (clueless) reviews to dissuade me from renting it. It’s a thrilling horror flick that is convincing. I’ve been watching horror films for almost 60 years and this one triggered anxiety and multiple adrenalin rushes. What more do you want from a horror film?

  6. Truly a fantastic concept executed wonderfully! I really felt the terror and panic of this situation, haven't felt that from a horror movie in a long time! This is a solid 4 out of 5 and I heavily recommend renting this one if you are a horror junky!

  7. If she escaped and lived in the end, I would have liked this movie. But it was ruined yet again by having a horrible ending. Can’t anyone make a decent horror movie anymore? We need more movies like insidious

  8. Me personally I love exploration films. Add in the underwater house and you got a unique film. I didn't find anything bad or boring about it and there went plenty of parts that scared me. Very sad, ironic ending.

  9. DO NOT RENT/BUY THIS MOVIE. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY/RENT THIS MOVIE. Absolutely horrible. Such a slow paced film and extremely confusing. Tying to understand what is happening when they are floundering underwater is ridiculous. Worst horror movie and a waste of 5 dollars.

  10. Do not I repeat do not and if you leave a comment put on the very top exactly what I’m right and I guess do not buy the $5.99 for HD because it is not HD it is kind of blurry not very good image I guess if you could say I guess people could report it so they can fix it because they’re stealing were a dollar away from every customer actually well if you want it if it’s an SD I think it’s the same quality of picture so basically they’re stealing from everybody either five dollars or six dollars so if you want to report it I would because it’s ridiculous paying six bucks to get a high-quality movie and it’s real shady it’s real bad bad image so do not spend your money on this movie if you can look for it somewhere else but not on YouTube I don’t know if the movies good I’m just watching it but it is starts off slow I don’t know how good it gets

  11. Just a note for those who want to rent this,
just choose the $4.99SD the $5.99HD is not HD its 480p.
An interesting movie to say the least, it was different, idk how they filmed this but its pretty crazy what they did here.
