Who will play in the 2022 Rose Bowl? – Daily Breeze

Alabama, Michigan, Cincinnati and Georgia are expected to be the four semifinalists announced on Selection Sunday by the College Football Playoffs committee and compete for the national championship. (Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. PT on ESPN).

The Bulldogs are the only team among the four who didn’t win a conference championship, losing their first game of the season on Saturday against Mater Dei alumnus Bryce Young and the Crimson Tide in the SEC title game. The Wolverines and Bearcats earned convincing wins in their respective conference title games.

Devin Lloyd and the Utah Utes are expected to play in the Rose Bowl as the Pac-12 Conference representative. The Big Ten champion usually competes in the Rose Bowl but with Michigan likely to compete in the CFP, the Ohio State Buckeyes or the Iowa Hawkeyes could potentially be invited to represent the Big Ten.
